FLOATING FLOOR

Floating floor can come in a wide range of prices. A floating floor requires an underlay to be used under the board, which means you can easily replace boards if required. The most common floating floors on the market are;

Laminate floors can vary in width from 6-12mil. laminate floors are extremely hard wearing and are perfect for a young family who has young children or pets.

Timber Veneer Flooring is a natural timber that usually has a 0.6mil layer of natural timber. This product is perfect for people who are looking for a natural timber look at a budget price.

Engineered Timber Flooring is a natural timber that generally has a 4mil layer of natural timber on top. It can come as an Australian species like spotted gum or blackbutt or as a European oak with a stain. The benefit of using an engineered timber is that you have the option of sanding and refinishing the product if it does get scratched or dented. Just remember though that when you buy an engineered timber you are buying the species, not the colour! Be sure to expect a lot of variation.

CARPET

Carpet can provide insulation and a feeling of warmth in your home. The benefit of carpet is there are hundreds of different textures and colours to choose from. It is also the most inexpensive floor covering available so it is perfect for rental properties.

Vinyl Planks

VINYL PLANKS

Vinyl Planks are one of the fastest growing floor coverings being used in the industry today. Traditionally used in a commercial setting, they are fast becoming more widely used in a domestic setting. Vinyl planks are generally stuck down using a pressure sensitive glue, which means if a plank gets damaged you can easily replace that plank with another one. Manufacturers have recently brought out new colours that resemble Australian species timbers and European oak timbers which make this a great flooring option.

FLOOR PREPARATION

Floor Preparation is occasionally required for projects that require floor coverings. Vinyl planks, for example, need an extremely flat and smooth subfloor in order to get the best performance from the product. We have access to all different types of machinery in order to get your floor perfect for your new floor covering.
